Procedure for Complaints against Members

All councillors have to comply with a Code of Conduct. The Code sets out rules about how councillors should behave towards the public, and also requires them to disclose any personal interests they have. A copy of the code is available on this page.

If you think a county councillor has broken the Code, you can make a complaint to the County Council's Standards Committee. The Committee includes people who are not councillors themselves. The Committee will consider your complaint and decide whether to investigate it.

You can register your complaint online by following the link to the Online complaint form. Alternatively, you may print off and complete the PDF form available on this page. You may also submit a written complaint. Letters or printed forms should be marked "FAO: Standards Committee" and returned to:
