Description

• To take a lead role in matters that relate to the County Council's (and members') responsibilities reagarding looked-after children.
• To ensure that the CSF Strategy, Achievement and Resources Cabinet Panels take full account of the specialist issues and policy matters regarding children in public care.
• To ensure and co-ordinate member visits to CSF residential establishments for these children and appropriate reporting back.

Areas of work :

• achievement in schools of children in public care
• health of children in public care
• financial support for looked-after children

Total membership is 7 (4:3) with one of the 3 being a parent governor or church representative on the Scrutiny Committee (voting). This place is taken by Parent Governor representative, Pat Cherry.
