A variety of resources giving financial information is available at the Business Information Point at the Central Resources Library, providing information about turnover, profit and loss, share and stock exchange information, and sources of business angel/venture capital.

Annual reports
Annual reports of some major companies are held, providing information unavailable elsewhere.

Company REFS (Really Essential Financial Statistics)
This monthly CD-ROM contains investment information for all UK equities and includes rankings by various criteria. The Central Resources Library offers a tailor-made service from this CD-ROM based on your specified investment criteria. Monthly updates are automatically posted to you. FAME (Financial Analysis Made Easy)
This database provides financial information on all limited companies registered at Companies House. For more information please contact the Central Resources Library.

Financial Times
A backfile of ‘The Financial Times’ is held on microfilm from 1970 and via a website subscription from 1996.

Stock market guides
The Company Guide provides details about the structure, management and performance of UK stock market companies. It is published every three months. The Stock Exchange Yearbook contains entries for all companies and securities listed on the London and Dublin Stock Exchanges and all those traded on the AIM (Alternative Investment Market).

Periodicals
Titles include Business Moneyfacts, Investors Chronicle, Banker, Forbes and Fortune.

Competition Commission Reports
These often contain financial information and are held within the UK Official Publications collection.
