council meetings

Councillors are elected by the local community and are there to represent its views. Each councillor represents an area called a ward, serving for four years.

Councillors are not paid a salary or wages, but they are entitled to allowances and expenses to cover some of the costs of carrying out their public duties. This information along details of each councillor, the ward they represent and their contact details is available in this section. In addition to this there is information on past and future council meetings along with election results. Please select from the options listed under ‘In this area.’
