Hertfordshire Forward Conference 2012

This year's Hertfordshire Forward conference was held on 20th January at Robertson House in Stevenage. Nearly 90 delegates attended and heard presentations from a range of speakers, providing a strategic overview of the County across a breadth of service areas and issues.

Presentations included:

• The state of Hertfordshire (Robert Gordon, Chairman, Hertfordshire Forward and Leader, Hertfordshire County Council)
• The Economy of Hertfordshire (John Gourd, Chairman, Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership)
• The Health of Hertfordshire (Dr Raymond Jankowski, Deputy Director of Public Health, NHS Hertfordshire)
• Volunteering and the Voluntary Sector in Hertfordshire (Mark Mitchell, Chief Executive, Community Action Dacorum)
• Community Safety in Hertfordshire (David lloyd, Chairman, Hertfordshire Police Authority and Andy Bliss, Chief Constable, Hertfordshire Constabulary)
• Local Government in Hertfordshire (Caroline Tapster, Chief Executive, Hertfordshire County Council and Daniel Goodwin, Chief Executive, St Albans City & District Council)
