My front-line role
I am the Conservative County Councillor for Hemel Hempstead Town division. The ‘Your Community’ section provides local service information, news, events and contacts about the area.
I represent the interests of the 14,000 residents of these communities on the County Council. I work closely with the Borough Councillors for Hemel Town, Boxmoor and Apsley; our Member of Parliament, Mike Penning, who lives in Hemel Hempstead Town; and active residents’ and community groups.
Residents who wish to raise any issue with me are welcome to do so at any time, whether by e-mail, letter or telephone. I will always deal promptly with casework issues.
As is the case with every County Councillor, I have a locality budget of £10,000 a year to spend on community projects in the division. Follow the links for more details of the scheme and details of applications I have previously agreed and declined.
My County Council responsibilities
I am currently Deputy Executive Member for Children’s Services having previously held deputy responsibility for Community Safety & Culture and Vice Chair of Children, Schools and Families Scrutiny.
Roles on outside bodies
I have been a Governor of Hemel Hempstead School and also a trustee of the Centre in the Park (formerly Hemel Hempstead Day Centre) since 2005.
