My front-line role
I am the Conservative County Councillor for Potters Bar West & Shenley division. The ‘Your Community’ section provides local service information, news, events, and contacts about the area.
Shenley
I represent the interests of around ……residents in my division. I represent a large area covering a town and several rural villages. To keep in contact with local issues I regularly attend parish council meetings in South Mimms and Ridge, and Shenley which has enabled me to build up a considerable amount of contacts.
As is the case with every County Councillor, I have a locality budget of £10,000 a year to spend on community projects in the division. Follow the links for more details of the scheme and details of applications I have previously agreed and declined.
My County Council responsibilities
I was first elected as a County Councillor in 1997 and during my time at the Council I have sat on various committees and panels. I currently sit on the Development Control Committee, Health Scrutiny Committee and the Environment, Economy and Community Safety Cabinet Panel.
Roles on outside bodies
I am a school governor at Dame Alice Owen’s School and Wroxham Primary School
