Royston
I represent the interests of around 17,000 residents of the community. I am also a local District Councillor and work with other District and Town Councillors for the benefit of Royston.
As is the case with every County Councillor, I have a locality budget of £10,000 a year to spend on community projects in the division. Follow the links for more details of the scheme and details of applications I have previously agreed and declined.
My County Council responsibilities
I was elected to Hertfordshire County Council in 2009 and currently sit on the Health Scrutiny Committee, Overview & Scrutiny Committee and the Educations & Skills Cabinet Panel. I have also been involved in several Topic Groups including Maternity, Healthy Schools and Adoption of Roads.

Personal, professional and political details
I am married with a young child. My professional background includes Insurance, Quality Assurance and Health and Safety.
I have been a local Councillor since 1998. Whilst serving on Royston Town Council, roles included Mayor, Leader and positions on most committees.
I was elected to North Hertfordshire District Council in 2002 and current positions include Chairman of Royston and District Area Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Planning Control Committee.
