Have your ceremony in a city full of history and a unique location that is full of character.

St Albans is an historic market market town and cathedral city now served by an excellent communications network. It is close to the M25 and M1, and served by direct rail links southwards into London, Gatwick Airport and the South Coast and northwards into the Midlands.

Three ceremony rooms have been created, in this Gatehouse of a former Victorian prison. They provide an excellent choice of size and ambiance. The Verulam Room furnished in rich dark colours is suitable for up to 60 guests. The Alban Room has an elegant contemporary feel and holds up to 20 guests. Finally The Oaklands Room caters for the select small ceremonies for under 12 people. Both Verulam and Alban have the benefit of air conditioning. The building is surrounded by beautiful gardens and an ancient cannon outside the front entrance adds to the historical interest of The Gatehouse.

Limited parking is available on site with large commercial car parks close by.

St Albans offers a vast choice of places to eat, so that you can have your ceremony here, and then move on to a celebration elsewhere in the city, or leave for Luton, Gatwick or Heathrow airports to head for something more exotic.

Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 5.00pm
Friday 9.00am -12.30pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm

The office is closed for lunch Monday to Thursday 12.30pm to 1.30pm and on a Friday 12.30pm to 1.00pm.
