Stortford Youth Music Collective Meeting
Venue: Northgate Youth Centre, Bishops Stortford
The Collective is set up to create and steer music opportunities for young people in Bishops Stortford. It consists of young people and members of Hertfordshire Integrated Youth Support Service and Hertfordshire Music Service.
This next meeting, we will be planning our SK8 Jam gig and an album we are producing of local acts. We will be promoting the set up of a website record label and are open to other suggestions for the group to address.Please feel free to come along and influence decent music opportunties in Stortford.

SK8 Jam
Venue: Sworders Field (town park), Bishops Stortford
Live music from local youth bands and DJ/MC acts. Set against the skate park where there will be skateboard, rollerbalde and bmx demos & competitions.
SK8 Jam is run by young people with support from HCC Youth workers. The event is part of the town's carnival, so there will be lots of other stuff happening and food and drink available.

Stortford Youth album

We are producing an album that will consist of local young people and their music. We aim to complete it by October / November 08 and sell it around town to raise profile of talent / acts and some cash that will go towards the town's development of the town park for young people.If you are an act or know of an act that would want to contribute some music, then get in touch. We have free access to a recording studio for those who do not have recorded material.Any genre of music is welcome! (the date and times above I had to fill to complete advert - so ignore them - this project is ongoing)
