There are many ways drugs can be classified. When dealing with the law, people often use the terms 'Class A', 'B' or 'C'. Each 'class' of drug has a different maximum penalty for possession or supplying. Drugs can also be sorted by the effect they have on you (though some drugs can have more than one kind of effect).
