Letchworth and Baldock Urban Transport Plan

Overview
The Letchworth and Baldock Urban Transport Plan (L&B UTP) was being reviewed as part of the five year rolling programme of Urban Transport Plans for Hertfordshire’s largest urban settlements. The Draft L&B UTP have identified and addressed the issues in the towns of Letchworth and Baldock and immediate surrounding area.

The Urban Transport Plan
The development of the plan was undertaken in two stages and was very much consultation led, with issues emerging from discussions and workshops with key local partners, members and officers, supported by analysis of local data. The Stage 1 Report documents the concerns raised through consultation and analysis of the underpinning evidence base to develop an initial list of key issues to be addressed in Stage 2. The Stage 2 report considered the issues and where possible validated the concerns and recommend solutions. Consultation on the Stage 2 was undertaken in September and October 2011.
The draft final L&B UTP was signed of at the North Hertfordshire Highways Joint Members Panel on 30th January 2012. It will be taken to the Highways and Transport Panel in March 2012.
