Driving Offender Courses
We currently provide the following courses:

If you have been offered a course by the Police, please select the appropriate link under 'In this area' for information and details of how to enrol.
Attendance at any of these is by police invitation only. The aim is to educate drivers to help them avoid committing a similar offence in the future, thereby contributing to safer communities.
In May 2011 the Department for Transport published a "Strategic Framework for Road Safety". A key theme is to extend remedial education for those who make mistakes and for low level offences where this is more effective than a fine and penalty points.
Hertfordshire County Council is the service provider appointed by Hertfordshire Constabulary to deliver training courses offered as an alternative to prosecution for specific motoring offences under the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS), set up by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO).
