Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS)

Vision: Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service would like all adults and families in Hertfordshire to enjoy learning and achieve success.

HAFLS funding aims to provide learning opportunities to those who are most in need or have least opportunity to achieve formal and informal qualifications. We want to provide access to a wide range of affordable learning opportunities that will enhance their chances throughout life.

The Skills Funding Agency contracts with Hertfordshire County Council through its HAFLS team to secure Informal Adult and Community Learning provision in the county. The authority sees this provision as the key to increasing participation in adult learning.

HAFLS directly delivers Family Learning provision and sub-contracts with a range of providers to plan and deliver a countywide programme of adult learning.

Some of our learners have shared their experiences in this short film.
