SUPPLY TEACHERS

Are you looking for supply work in Hertfordshire Schools?

If so, you can register your details and availability with the Teachinherts Supply Service and be employed directly by our Schools.

The advantages to you include being paid to scale and being able to opt into the Teacher Pension Scheme. Details of salary scales for supply teachers can be seen below.

Supply teachers will be fully screened including Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checking. For further information on the Teachinherts Supply Service, including how to register call 0845 108 1725.

Each Monday at 12.30pm the Returners' Club takes place. This is a programme of talks, workshops and practical sessions covering a range of topics from National Curriculum updates, using ICT, behaviour management, contractual details for teachers and advice on subject updates. Supply teachers who are free on Monday are very welcome to come along. For further details please see the programme below.

In addition to the sessions themselves, the club offers:

2 free courses a year from the CPD Portfolio, use of the centre library and resource centre, your own copies of many of the other education publications, advice on pay and conditions, help with CVs, applications and interviews.

NB: Don't forget - the Hertfordshire Development Centre has relocated to Stevenage from 1st September 2008, so Returners Club meetings will take place at the new location from the Autumn Term 2008 onwards. Directions above.
