What Can the Returners' Club do for Me?

The Returner's Club is a free service and hopefully will help you to update your skills and regain confidence to return.
There are practical and theoretical sessions covering a wealth of subjects and we can also help you with advice on returning to teaching and how to apply for jobs. If you would like to gain some experience back in the classroom, we can assist with arranging observation sessions at schools close to you.
The club has been split into Primary and Secondary Returners, in order to cater more specifically for each sector. There remains overlap in some subjects and disciplines, for example, introduction to ICT, information and advice on supply teaching and behaviour management.
For further details, download the programme below. Many of the sessions run are duplicated at the Supply Club, which runs from 4.30pm to 6.00pm. If it is more convenient to attend the later session, or mix and match according to your diary, you are welcome to do so.
As you can see, the programme includes national curriculum updates, practical workshops and observation visits to schools. Please feel free to "dip in and out" of the programme, selecting those sessions which are of most interest to you.
There are many ICT courses offered, due to popular demand! If you wish to attend any of the ICT sessions, it is important that you contact us as soon as possible to book in - places are limited.
If you would like to attend, please download the programme below, complete it and return it to the School Workforce Development Team using the "contact us" link on the right hand side of this page for further information. For further information, call us on 01582 830351.
