Courses and Events run by the School Workforce Development Team

We regularly hold events, courses and opendays for people who are interested in working in schools.

This includes information about becoming a teacher, teaching assistant or finding out more about the many and varied roles for support staff in schools.

Support Staff Training and Development Information Day

Date: Monday 23rd March 2009:- 9.30am - 12.30pm (Drop in)

Venue: Hertfordshire Development Centre, Stevenage

The morning will include information, stalls and short talks about all aspect of Support Staff Training and Development:-

Level 2 Certificate in Literacy and Numeracy
Support Work in Schools (SWiS)
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
NAPTA Profile
NVQ
Routes into teaching
Induction
Performance Management
Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM)

Throughout the morning there will be representatives from the following for informal discussions about the needs of your support staff:

Come for the whole morning or drop in at any time – tea, coffee and refreshments available all morning!

There is no charge for attendance and no need to book.
