Governor Training and Development Service

Subscribing to the Governor Training and Development Service gives governors access to a high quality, comprehensive training programmes and :

• access to the core training programme covering the essential elements of governance, statutory requirements, induction and government initiatives;
• additional courses at discounted cost;
• an in-house training session of choice, or tailor made, at no cost provided at least 80% of the governors in post at the time attend;
• attendance at the Governors' Annual Conference;
• cluster groups, free to the host school provided at least 60% of the governing body attend, and discounted to others who attend.
• access to Governors East Learning (GEL) on-line resources and training;
• option to include membership of National Governors' Association (NGA)*.

Prices for 2008/09
Primary and Special Schools: £497 (£552 including NGA membership*)
Secondary and Middle Schools: £725 (£780 including NGA membership*)

*NGA is a national organisation supporting governors with an active local group.
