Election Result

Three new parent governors have been elected to serve as Parent Governor Representatives (PGRs) on the County Council's Children, Schools and Families Scrutiny Committee. They will be formally appointed at the next meeting of the County Council.

The election was conducted on behalf of the Authority by Electoral Reform Services. All elected parent governors at schools in Hertfordshire were given the opportunity to stand and to vote in the election. The result is as follows:

East 1
Mrs Nicky Betteley - 110 votes (elected)
Mr Emmanuel Mensah - 38

East 2
Mr David Thomson - elected unopposed

West 1
Mrs Sue Milligan - 84 votes (elected)
Mrs Elizabeth Knight - 28
Mr Gary Trollope - 14


There were no candidates in the West 2 Area and so the post will remain vacant. An attempt will be made to fill the vacancy at a by-election to be held in that area in a year's time.
