Exclusions guidance

Procedures set out in DCSF document, issued in 2007, apply to all maintained schools and all pupils in them including any who are above or below compulsory school age. They also apply to Education Support Centres and to maintained nursery schools.

The Guidance also includes model letters that can be used by schools to ensure that they meet legal requirements when writing to parents in connection with an exclusion.
