Contacting the Student Loans Company
The Student Loans Company (SLC) is responsible for all loan and grant payments and repayments of loans, but once you have applied to your Local Authority, the national Customer Support Office will be able to answer your questions.
Once you have made an application for support the SLC will send you:
- your unique 11 digit reference number (ART ID)
- a separate letter confirming your internet password and secret answer
You must retain these details. They will be necessary if you call the SLC about your support. Staff will not discuss confidential details if your identity can not be confirmed.
