Specialist Schools in your area

If there is a specialist school in your area, it does not mean that all resources will be poured into that school to the detriment of other schools in the area.

As well as receiving money for investment in buildings and facilities, specialist schools get an additional £126 per pupil per year (for 4 years), in order to put their plan into practice. The complete financial package amounts to approximately £750,000 for each school over the first 5 years.

However, at least one third of their funding must be spent on supporting the work of local schools and the wider community, sharing the benefits of their expertise.
