CSF Capital Programme (County Council and DfES grant or borrowing approval) 2006-2008.

In February 2006, the County Council approved funding for a number of CSF capital schemes (for example building and improvements to school premises).

The funding covers financial years 2006/7 and 2007/8, and a programme will be finalised and confirm the process and timescale for starting the projects with each individual school.

The priorities for all new projects were decided using the following criteria
  1. To ensure that no buildings will be closed for health and safety, other legislative or basic amenity reasons
  2. To provide sufficient accommodation to meet anticipated need
  3. To provide additional or remodelled accommodation to meet current needs or to replace worn out temporary accommodation
  4. Unsuitable accommodation in special schools
  5. Technology provision
  6. Science refurbishment
  7. Food Technology provision
The information used to assess the need was based on all the asset management plan data (sufficiency, suitability and condition) held by the Authority.
