Consultation on Accommodation Schedules - Primary

For many years CSF has used schedules based on Building Bulletin guidelines (BB82) produced by the DCSF in 1996 to determine how much overall accommodation schools should have, together with a schedule of the number, types and areas of individual rooms/spaces within the accommodation.  The guidelines also included schedules for external areas.

The DCSF revised their guidelines in 2004 as BB99 (Primary Schools) and BB98 (Secondary Schools).  The accommodation guidance in relation to Special Schools has also been reviewed and is currently out for consultation.

In the light of BB99 and BB98 CSF has been reconsidering accommodation schedules appropriate for Hertfordshire schools.   The draft Hertfordshire accommodation schedules are set out in the documents on the right hand side of this page.

Once agreed the new guidelines will form the basis for determining accommodation for new schools in Hertfordshire and, where possible, changes to existing premises.
