And the winner is......
Every year in Hertfordshire's Library Service, many staff who have an interest in books for children and young people, get busy reading through stacks of books trying to decide which deserves to win the Carnegie medal. Finally, a shortlist of six books is drawn up, and then, once a year, they meet, discuss all the books and vote on a winner The winner that is chosen is then sent on to be considered with many other "votes" for the Carnegie medal.Tips and advice on using hertsdirect.
