Watford Central Library (directions to)

Directions to the Library by road and public transport.

The library is located at the end of Hempstead Road, near the junction with Rickmansworth Road, close to the Town Hall.

From the North:
Hemel Hempstead M25 junction 19 or 20. Take A411 Hempstead Road, from Hunton Bridge Island, towards Watford. Take right hand lane at roundabout (open air car park) or follow signs to other adjecent parking.

From the South:
Bushey, M1 junction 5, to Watford Town Centre, onto the one-way system. Keep left as the flyover crosses over precinct. Take second exit at Town Hall roundabout, keep left and turn turn into service road and rear of library.

From the East:
St Albans, North Watford. Take A412, St Albans Road, ignore underpass, take 3rd exit at Town Hall roundabout keep left and turn into service road and rear of library.

From the West:
Rickmansworth, Croxley Green. Take A412, Rickmansworth Road, keep left past Town Hall ignoring underpass. Turn left without negotiating roundabout, and take the right hand lane to the open air car park or follow signs to other adjacent parking.

Car Parking:
Nearest parking in open air car park or follow signs to other adjacent parking. Multi-storey in Rosslyn Road, off Rickmansworth Road. Fees payable. Please note parking facilities behind the library are purely for Library and clinic staff.

Public Transport:
Watford Station, London underground Metropolitan Line. Turn right out of station along Cassiobury Park Avenue, left along Rickmansworth Road, and library is on the left just past Town Hall.
Watford Junction BR Station and Watford Junction Bus/Coach Interchange. Turn right out of stations, along Station Road. Left along St Albans Road, use underpass to cross road, then use next underpass under Hempstead Road to bring you to the side of the library.
Majority of buses also stop in High Street in Town Centre. All 5 minutes walk from library.
