Ware Library (directions to)

Directions to the library by road and public transport.

How to find us:
At the northern end of Ware High Street, opposite St. Mary's Church and adjacent to The Priory (junction of High Street/Baldock Street).

By road

From the A414 and the A10 south
Follow the A1170 into Ware, crossing the railway Bridge and then bearing right over the river bridge. At the next roundabout bear left along the High Street (second exit off the roundabout). Follow the High Street through three sets of pedestrian lights. The library is on the left by the fourth set of pedestrian lights and opposite the church.
For short stay parking (Library car park), turn left immediately before these lights.
For long stay parking (Baldock Street), continue past the library to the next roundabout (Charvills Garage), where take third exit (right) into the car park.

From the A10 North
Leave the A10 exit signed Ware North and follow the road down into Ware. At the roundabout by Charvills garage, (Baldock Street car park on the left), go ahead into Baldock Street and continue to the second set of pedestrian crossing lights. The library is on your right, opposite the church. The short stay car park (Library car park), is on the right immediately after these lights.

From Stevenage (A602)
Cross the A10 roundabout and then and continue down the hill into Ware, shortly crossing a mini-roundabout. At the next roundabout turn left. Turn right into Baldock Street at the next roundabout (Charvills Garage), and continue to the second set of pedestrian crossing lights. The library is on your right opposite the church. The short stay car park (Library car park), is on the right immediately after these lights. The entrance to the long stay car park is the second exit off the roundabout by Charvills garage.

All car parks in Ware are Pay & Display until 18.30

Public Transport

Ware Station
Turn left out of the station to T-junction by level crossing. Turn right along Amwell End. Keep to the left side of the road to cross the river and then bear left along the High Street. The library is on the left by the fourth set of pedestrian lights and opposite the church.

By bus
Bus numbers 331, 383 and 384 stop in the High Street. The library is situated at the north end of the High Street opposite the church.

Bus numbers 310, 311, 351,395 and 724 stop at Ware College. From here cross the New River and the level crossing into Amwell End. Continue ahead to cross the river and then bear left along the High Street. The library is on the left by the fourth set of pedestrian lights and opposite the church.
