National newspapers and periodicals

Hertfordshire libraries stock a wide range of national newspapers, magazines and periodicals.

These cover current affairs, educational, cultural,leisure and professional topics, and include teenage magazines and titles in community languages. Extensive backfiles of many titles are available on CD-ROM or on Microfilm. Details of all newspapers and periodicals held in libraries can be viewed on the library catalogue.

Libraries also have access to European Business ASAP – a
database which includes the full text of selected articles from over 100 journals.

Local newspapers

All Hertfordshire libraries (except Central Resources Library) hold at least one current local newspaper. Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies and many local libraries also hold extensive backfiles.
