European Public Information Centre (EPIC) Network

Hertfordshire Libraries are part of the UK public library network of European Public Information Centres, set up to provide the general public with ready access to European Union information.

All Hertfordshire libraries hold :-

• The guided self-help folder ‘Your Guide to European Information in Hertfordshire’, which suggests further sources of information.

Enquiries that cannot be answered by local libraries will be referred to the Central Resources Library in Hatfield, which holds the County’s principal collection of European information.

This collection includes reference books, leaflets, journals and Internet resources covering :-

• European Union legislation
• Guides to EU institutions, policies and activities
• Grants and funding from the European Union
• Living, working and studying in Europe
• Statistics
• Euro-Sceptic Information
