Information services

All Hertfordshire libraries hold basic reference collections and information about their local communities. They also offer access to the Internet and the Online Reference Library (a collection of authoritative electronic information resources).

Hertfordshire’s central reference and information library is the
Central Resources Library in Hatfield. This holds an extensive range of printed and electronic information resources, including books, directories, CD-ROMS, newspapers, periodicals and Internet resources. Trained staff are always on hand to help you to find what you want.

Information on local and family history is held at Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies in Hertford.
