Access to libraries

The library service positively welcomes disabled customers and seeks to make all aspects of the service as accessible as possible. We have an annual programme of work to continually improve access to libraries.

All libraries have hearing induction loops.

Registered assistance dogs are welcome in all libraries.

To find out local details for the following:
  • disabled parking
  • accessible toilet facilities
  • wheelchair access
  • accessible computer facilities
Please click on Libraries in Hertfordshire opening times, services and facilities.

If you are unable to reach your local library because you have a disability, the Home Library Service can deliver books and recordings to your home free of charge.
