Central Resources Library

The Central Resources Library supports the services of the other public libraries in Hertfordshire and provides a direct service to the public – in person, by phone and by e-mail.

It houses the County’s special reference and lending collections including

Performing Arts Collection
Lending and reference material on all aspects of the performing arts from classical music to circus arts in many formats. The collection also includes sets of music and plays for hire.

Information on companies, markets, finance and suppliers, UK and worldwide plus a FAME internet subscription and other electronic resources.

Official Publications Collection
Current affairs collection covering the work of Government and its Departments including legislation and guidance from 1255 to date, statistics, regulations and reports. Most are available for loan.

County Reserve stock
Older and more unusual books that are not regularly required in local libraries but are of enduring interest. Most are available for loan.
