It is free to join a library and to borrow books. There are charges for some extra services and facilities. There are concessions on some charges.
Reservations
50p including notification by first class post.
There is no charge for reservations on stock that is intended for children, and no charge for requesting a small selection of books in languages other than English. Reserves for specific language titles are subject to a reservation charge, if you are not entitled to concessions. Please ask the staff for details.
An extra charge of £3 is made for items borrowed from outside Hertfordshire.
1-4 cassettes: 75p a set for 3 weeks

No charge for people with disabilities or carers. Repeat charges are made for music recordings kept longer than a week.
