Lending services

We provide a wide range of materials for you to borrow from our libraries :-

adult fiction books

adult non fiction books

large print books

maps

audio books

CDs

videos

language courses

foreign language material

DVDs

CD-ROMs

The library catalogue lists all the titles that are available.

It is free to join the library and to borrow books.

Allowances
You can borrow up to 12 items on your membership card. Books, audio books, and most language courses are loaned for three weeks. Videos, DVDs and CDs are hired for one week

Charges
There is a charge to borrow audio books and language courses and a hire charge for CDs, DVDs and videos. Charges will be made on any items not returned by the due date.

Renewals
To avoid paying overdue charges you can renew books for an extra period unless there is a waiting list. You can’t renew DVDs videos or CDs but you can pay a repeat hire charge for each week or part of a week that passes until you return the item.

Reservation service
You can request books, magazine articles or other materials (other than feature films), which are not immediately available. There is a charge for this service.
