Hertfordshire Libraries are pleased to announce that you can download eBooks and audiobooks for free using our new web service: Herts elibrary.

You can download eBooks and audiobooks to a PC or Mac to use, or you can transfer titles to your iPod, MP3, Sony Reader or other portable device. You can borrow up to 3 items for 7, 14 or 21 days using your library card number and PIN. It’s quick, easy and free from your library.

If you don't know your PIN or if you've forgotten it, please contact us using the 'Contact us' button in the menu at the top left of this page or take your library card in to any Hertfordshire library.

Explore our collections of titles, both fiction and non fiction, including new bestselling titles and some old favourites. There are also a selection of audiobooks for children and teenagers.

This service is intended for home use only. You can browse the website and look at our collections of titles in the library, but you will not be able to download the titles to a library computer.
