About Library Computer Bookings
All Hertfordshire libraries have computers for public use with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office and other applications and a range of valuable electronic information resources via the Online Reference Library.
Printing is available from all computers, for a charge, and in some larger libraries scanners and special accessibility features are provided.
Library members can use the computers free of charge for one hour each day. Any further use will be charged at a rate of £2.40 per hour (4p per minute), subject to the availability of computers.
There is no free period for non-members. Charges for non-members are as follows:
- £1.25 for up to half an hour
- £2.50 for up to an hour
There are no concessions.
If you are a library member, you can also book computer sessions in advance. Sessions of up to an hour a day (or two hours per day in a few libraries where two hour computers are provided) can be booked up to 8 days in advance.
People who need to use Supernova, the magnification and screen reading software available in our larger libraries, may book 2 hour sessions. However you will need staff assistance to do so, rather than using the online booking service. Please phone using the telephone numbers given below or ask when you are in the library.
