Renewals

Library items can be renewed for an extra period unless there is a waiting list
This can be done in person at any Hertfordshire public library or up to three times by telephone or online. DVDs and music CDs do not need to be renewed as an additional loan fee will be charged on return for each week or part of a week.

Online renewals

The online renewals service is available from 05.00 am to 02.00 am.

To renew your items online you need to follow the link below: Link to Renewals and log in to MyZone using your library membership card number and PIN (Personal Identification Number). Then follow the instructions on the screen or look in Help for further guidance.

If you don't know your PIN or if you've forgotten it, please contact us using the Contact Us button in the menu at the top left of this page or take your library card in to any Hertfordshire library.

Telephone renewals

Alternatively you can renew your library items using our automated telephone service. Ring 0300 123 4049 and select option 1 for renewals. This service is available every day from 05.00 am to 02.00 am.

The  service works in a similar way to telephone banking, book clubs etc. and needs a touch-tone phone. You can renew either by using the borrower number from your library membership card or the individual item numbers on each book.
