Library facilities to support learning
All Hertfordshire libraries have facilities, including computers, to help learners of all ages. Check your local library for details.
Most libraries offer :-

- Details of full and part time learning both locally and nationally
- Careers information collections
- Addresses of organisations,professional bodies,clubs,and societies
- Reference Collections,including electronic information resources
- Newspapers and Periodicals
To borrow
- Books to support you with your studying or get you started on a new hobby
- Books on how to apply for jobs, write a CV, improve your interview technique, or start your own business
- Language Courses
- A request service which allows you to borrow more specialised titles from other libraries
ICT and study facilities
- Study space
- Photocopier and fax services - charges apply
- 1 hour's free use of computers per day for library members. Computers offer the Internet and webmail, Microsoft Office (including Publisher) and audio and image manipulation software. Printing is available - charges apply
- Larger libraries also provide digital scanners, togather with screen reading and magnification software and accessibility equipment
- All libraries offer at least one public computer with many libraries offering large suites:-
