Images of Hertfordshire

The Unit has:

• a collection of approximately 2000 georeferenced and partially indexed photographs of the county taken between 1999 & 2002 (The "Millennium collection") both digitally & as prints.
• approx 1000 unindexed photographs (mainly prints), typically of sites taken in the latter part of the 20thC. In particular many Hertfordshire Tree Scheme sites are illustrated.
• approx 3000 thematically indexed slides of sites and features in the county taken at the end of the 20thC.
• a few photographs (mainly prints) submitted as part of photographic competitions; and
• approx 1000 georeferenced photographs (mainly prints, some digitised) submitted by consultants working on the landscape character assessment and other projects.

These are primarily intended to be an internal resource but where not infringing Data Protection Regulations may be available to view by arrangement, in accordance with the Freedom Of Information Act.
