Victorian Day (KS2)

How did our locality change in Victorian times?
What was it like to live here in the past?
What was it like for children living in Victorian Hertfordshire?

A great opportunity to use original documents to find out more about the Victorians.

You will have a chance to
  • Find out why people died from cholera
  • Use census returns and photographs to explore the lives of families in Victorian times, including children
  • Look at maps to investigate how your local area has changed over time
Download the full programme below. Please note that Hertford Museum is currently unable to offer the afternoon session. Schools should book directly with Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies for the morning.
