A great opportunity to use original documents, objects and buildings to explore the Tudors.

You will have the chance to
  • Look at real Tudor documents, including a portrait of Henry VIII and the signature of Edward VI, when he was 10.
  • Use inventories to find out about William Saunders' house.
  • Defend Hertfordshire against the Spanish Armada in 1588.

After a morning at the Archives, you can book an afternoon at The Forge Museum, to
  • See a blacksmith at work on a Tudor rushlight holder
  • Play house detective with original wall paintings
  • Dress up in Tudor costume
