Copying

HALS old map Archives & Local Studies can provide a range of different types of copies including photocopies, digital scans, and photographic prints. These can be ordered for the majority of the documents held at Archives & Local Studies, subject to copyright and the condition of the document. Some documents are too large or fragile to be photocopied so digital photography may be more appropriate.

A range of popular prints and maps is available for immediate purchase, all other reproductions must be ordered by contacting Archives & Local Studies.

Please note: the prices below relate only to obtaining copies for personal use. All applicants are required to complete a copyright declaration form to confirm that the image is to be used for their private research use only. If you wish to publish an image in any way whatsoever, a reproduction rights application form must be completed, and there is a further charge for this service.

There is a minimum charge of £7.00 for enquiries and copy requests made by telephone, post, fax or email. This includes 2 copies per £7.00 unit and postage and packing. Additional postage will be charged for larger orders.
