a) Listed buildings
The lists of the buildings of architectual and historic interest published by the Department of the Environment give basic descriptions of the style and features of listed buildings. These are available in the library.
The same information can be found on the English Heritage website on their "Images of England" database.

The
Gordon Moodey Papers held by the office (ref D/EGm) contain survey reports and drawings of many historic buildings in the county. For more information on the Gordon Moodey collection, click on the "special collections" link under "local history".
b) Photographs, prints and drawings
See the County Views index in the Archive Reading Room under the parish in which you are interested, and the photographs collection in the library.
The photograph above shows 99 Watton Road, Ware, which was constructed in 1829. The brickwork is by Caleb Hitch (The Younger, 1785 - 1851). Photographed in 1984 by B Maling, Hertford and Ware Local History Society.
