Art in public places

Hertfordshire has about 300 pieces of public art sited in all parts of the county and they are one of the county’s best-kept secrets.

‘Art in Public Places' is very much a work in progress. The information will be published in stages, so what you can currently see is a selection of this type of work, but more records will be added over the coming months. In some cases the information is incomplete but this will be amended over time.

Most of the pieces are in publicly accessible spaces. However some have been included that sit in restricted grounds, but this is made clear in the individual entries. In such cases you should check to see if you need permission to visit them.

If you have any comments or would like further information about any of the pieces please contact Catherine Davis, HCC Arts Development Officer, via the ‘Contact Us’ signpost on the right hand side of this page.
