Your County Council and the arts
The County Council is an enabler and supporter of the arts and their importance to the quality of life, education, personal development and the county's economy are well recognised. In order to support this work and its development, a number of officers are employed by HCC.

Catherine Davis (County Arts Development Officer)
The County Arts Development Officer's role is to provide effective leadership and co-ordination of arts development in Hertfordshire. The main areas of responsibility include:
- Acting as a main point of contact for anyone seeking information on the arts.
- Working with a range of partners, including District Arts Officers and local arts organisations.
- Signposting individuals and organisations to funding sources and assist with bid preparations.
- Working with Arts Council England,East and other regional and national partners.
Annie Hawkins (County Cultural Officer)
The Cultural Officer worked in partnership with the Districts and Boroughs to produce a Cultural Strategy for Hertfordshire. The arts are one of ten areas of cultural life that the strategy covers. The strategy addresses cultural needs and promote fair access for all, by aiming to enhance the quality of life for all the communities of Hertfordshire.
Suzanne Rider (Arts Education Development Officer)
