District Council funding opportunities

All the District Councils operate different schemes with their own individual criteria. Generally any project will have to show benefit to the District, to be eligible for consideration. For further information and advice contact the nominated District source/s listed below.

Borough of Broxbourne

Broxbourne Council operates an annual community grant scheme. The grant scheme provides financial support to local charitable and voluntary organisations that serve residents in the borough. Support can be in the form of reductions on non-domestic rates, hall hire discounts, reductions on the rental of council property, loans and cash grants.

East Herts District Council

East Herts Council annually accept applications from arts
organisations and individuals hoping to run arts projects. Grants are available from £500 to £5,000. Individuals and Community Groups thinking of applying need to be based in East Herts.

Hertsmere Borough Council

Small grants applications forms are issued in the autumn for submission by December. For further information contact Community Services on 020 8207 7478.

North Herts District Council

Grants are administered by the Arts Council for North Hertfordshire. For further information contact the Secretary on 01462 676784.

Stevenage Borough Council

Stevenage Borough Council runs a small grants scheme for voluntary organisations involved in a range of social, community and recreational activities.

Application forms are issued in the summer for submission at the
beginning of October with grants being awarded in the following February. The forms can be obtained from Community Development, Stevenage Borough Council, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, SG1 1HN or on 01438 242329.

Three Rivers District Council

The Leisure Department offers Leisure and Community Grants throughout the year to assist local groups to provide a range of community and leisure opportunities to the residents of Three Rivers District. Please contact the Grants Officer, on 01923 727142 to discuss your ideas.
