British Council

The British Council connects people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and builds lasting relationships between the UK and other countries.

The British Council helps create and consolidate cross-cultural partnerships by organising over 3000 arts events every year worldwide. It brings together in residencies, workshops and exchanges, artists and institutions from Britain and the rest of the world. Artists are encourages to export their skills and services by showcasing their work at home and abroad.

The British Council offers support in different ways for the different artforms. The Arts, Literature and Design pages of the British Council website www.britishcouncil.org provide further information on how artists and arts organisations may qualify for financial and other assistance.
