Currently the main sources of funding for arts projects are Awards for All and Grants for the Arts. Arts Council England, East distribute funds from the National Arts Lottery through Grants for the Arts. However if you are planning to apply for such funding it always a good idea to contact your District and/or HCC Arts Officer first to discuss your ideas. This will allow them to offer help at an early stage in the project, as well as being able to highlight any possible problems before you've invested too much of your time.
Many of the District Officers offer small grants and the details are listed below.
Don't forget there are many other sources of funding that may not be directly related to the arts, but which you may be able to take advantage of. For further information and advice click on the Hertfordshire External Resources Network. This offers a link to other funding sources as well as providing a bid writing toolkit.
Another very useful source of information is the Voluntary Arts Network website (VAN).
