Using Lucienne Day's wonderful tea towel designs as our insperation, you will design and print your own tea towel and cotton bag. Visual references will be from the the 'Designer Style' exhibtition and you will use silk screen printing to create domestic products to brighten up you home.

Duke Of Edinburgh Skills Workshops
Venue: Artshed Art Centre, Westmill Farm Leisure Centre, Westmill Road, Ware, Herts SG1.
Date: Tuesday 14th July to Monday 27th July
Times: 11.00am to 3.00pm.
Duke of Edinburgh Award:- New Skills Tuition for Bronze and Silver Award with full tutored sessions in a full equipped jewellery workshop.
Every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the Summer holidays, we are staging revolving jewellery workshops tuition days for those teenagers who wish to learn a new skill as part of their D of E. These sessions are designed to fullfil the criteria of the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Award scheme.
Costings to include: all materials,tutored skills sessions totalling 16 hours, registration booklet, and sketchbook/record book. A full list of materials will be available upon request. Please contact for details of costs.
Jewellery schedule with tutors and skills sessions:
The tutors will be able to sign off at the end of the required period of training. The tutors will vary dependant upon the subject.

Recycle and reuse in this four day enviromentally friendly workshop. Using MoDA's 'Design Style' 50s exhibition as inspiration, you will design and print your own roll of wallpaper and printed fabric- using old clothes and fabric scraps. The fabric will then be used to create a 3D item, be it a mobile, soft toy or cushion. Finally, using plastic bags, you will make your own personalised bag with which to carry home all your creations.
