Autumn Exhibition: "New Embroidery at the Old School"

Venue: British Schools Museum , Queen Street, Hitchin SG4 9TS.

Date: This exhibition opens on Saturday 6th September and closes on 30th November.

The exhibition will display embroidery by the members of the North Herts and Beds branch of the Embroiderers' Guild which illustrates traditional techniques as well as modern interpretations: including quilting and mixed media.

Precious Metal Clay Workshop with Xuella Arnold

Silver Clay Workshop with Xuella Arnold.

Learn how to use this fascinating process in the relaxed atmosphere of Artshed’s workshop at Westmill Farm. Small groups of 10 for individual attention including lunch and all materials. Cutting, texturing and shaping. Along with mold making,your piece will be fired and ready for polishing.

Traditional Embroidery Techniques

An Embroiderers' Guild member will lead the morning, demonstrating embroidery stitches and techniques and visitors will have the opportunity to try out the stitches in a mini sampler format.
