Katy has been working as a storyteller since 1996 in three related fields:
* developing inspiring, high quality performances for adult and family audiences in theatres, festivals, story-clubs and arts centres across Britain and beyond. Katy works with traditional material: folklore, legend, myth and saga.
Shows include: "Rhiannon", "Sigurd and Fafnir - the stories of the Ring", "The Bridge of the Sword - a tale of Lancelot" and "The Sky Beyond the Sky - an Orinoco Creation Cycle".
* in school and educational settings, telling tales and devising workshops for children. She is especially strong in areas of Greek and Norse myth, Arthurian legend and British folktale. She has also been involved in Creative Partnership work.
* creative facilitation for businesses and organisations, using metaphor and story to improve communication and evaluation. Clients include: Countryside Agency, Government Office for the South East, DTI, Treasury and the BBC.

Qualifications and Training:
Katy has trained with leading performance storytellers including Ben Haggarty and Hugh Lupton. She also has a first class degree in Classics from Oxford and is a qualified mountain leader.
